CURRICULUM VITAE SIGRID TRUMMER
Sigrid Trummer was born in Graz/Austria. She studied piano at the
University of Music and Dramatic Arts Graz and at the University of Music and
Performing Arts Vienna with Prof. Klara Harrer-Baranyi. Her concertactivities as
a solist, chamber musician and accompanist have taken her to many european
countries as well as to Japan and the USA. Extensive occupation with
contemporary music (first performances of a number of works some specially
dedicated to her). Participation in international festivals (among others: Bert
Brecht-Festival/Augsburg/Germany, Internationales Gitarrefestival Lambach/Austria,
International Festival Izmir/Turkey, Aspekte/Salzburg, WIENMOZART 2006). Radio-
and TV-recordings (i.e. concertpieces of Astor Piazzolla, pianoworks of Austrian
female composers, Mozart’s female contemporaries as composers). She lives and works in Vienna.
1993-2000
Program with chansons: "Der Herr ist mir fremd" with the actress Claudia
Buser.
1994-1999
Cooperation with Mario Nardelli jr., guitar, and Edda Breit, cello (Wiener
Kammerorchester).
09/1999
Publication of her debut-CD with piano concerts of female composers (Dora
Pejacevic and Germaine Tailleferre), recorded with the Nürnberger Symphonikern
under the conductor Manfred Müssauer, label: Re Nova Classics.
2000-2001
Member of the Wie(d)ner Klavierquartett with Martin Klimek, violin (Wiener
Philharmoniker); Martin Fuchs, viola (Niederösterreichische Tonkünstler) and
Elisabeth Taschner, cello (Vereinigte Bühnen Wien).

Publication of the CD "Sigrid Trummer plays contemporary Austrian piano music", label: Extraplatte.
04/2004
Publication of a CD with piano concerts specially dedicated to Sigrid Trummer of
Michael Amann and Wolfgang Liebhart, recorded with the Ensemble Sofia under the
conductor Dian Tchobanov, label: Extraplatte.
